The benefits of Intel SGX platform security hardening at the chip Level

The Intel SGX platform provides hardened crypto-functionality using Intel Software Guard Extensions (Intel SGX), ensuring that the keys remain protected both at rest and in use. It uses secure enclaves to provide added protections within the silicon itself against shared data being snooped or tampered with at any stage of access or transmission.

When used on an Intel SGX platform, FileFlex Enterprise provides users secure silicon-to-silicon hardened remote access, sharing and collaboration of their files and folders from anywhere. It is the first solution of its kind that uses a zero trust architecture security hardened at the chip level, to provide an unmatched level of security to content sharing and collaboration.

GDPR and HIPAA

FileFlex Enterprise allows for remote access and sharing hardened at the chip level using Intel SGX technology where files stay in their source locations.  This provides organizations the ability to keep sensitive files on-premises,  behind their firewall, under their control and in a preferred geographic location, keeping them in jurisdiction and data resident to aid compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR.

Since FileFlex Enterprise provides an unmatched level of security, enabled in hardware by Intel SGX, it is the ideal file sharing and collaboration tool for HIPAA Covered Entities and HIPAA Business Associates because the FileFlex Enterprise server is hosted either by the HIPAA Covered Entity itself or by the HIPAA Business Associate that provides FileFlex Enterprise to the HIPAA Covered Entity. No Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is subject to mandatory data transfer or storage by third parties.

FileFlex Enterprise … Lowering the Risk posture for the Organization.

The FileFlex Enterprise zero trust architecture combined with the Intel SGX  platform provides silicon hardened remote access, sharing and collaboration of unstructured data across a hybrid-IT multi-cloud infrastructure and multiple domain environments.

It adds IT governance and administration over access to unstructured data, superior control over file sharing with permissions, collaboration features, the ability to create virtual data rooms, and more.  It vastly improves the organization’s security posture, allows access to all storage – not just subsets, – ensures privacy, keeps the management of organizational files under organizational control, accelerates compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA, and leverages the organization’s existing storage infrastructure to produce a disruptive low-cost model that can be applied to all storage.
