Qnext appoints Curtis Allen, former VP Chief Security Officer of Scotiabank, as advisor for the Canadian marketplace

Toronto, Ontario, November 4, 2020 –Qnext® today announced that Curtis Allen, a leading security expert, retired VP and Chief Security Office for Scotiabank, Director of Security for the Government of Ontario and Deputy Commissioner for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, has been appointed an advisor to the company to counsel them on the vital cybersecurity sectors of major Canadian financial institutions and public sector data operations.

Allen was formerly Vice President and Chief Security Officer for Scotiabank with a mandate that included investigation of all major fraud committed against the bank as well as the development of loss prevention strategies to prevent, detect and respond to criminal threats perpetrated by organized crime, customers or staff.  Previous to Scotiabank, Curt was the Director of Security for the Government of Ontario with a mandate to protect the Government of Ontario electronic networks, information and information technology and other assets.

Curt also served in many senior roles with the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) including Deputy Commissioner Ontario and Quebec, Deputy Commissioner National Headquarters and Deputy Commissioner National Police Services and Technical Infrastructure.
